On the Pacific Ocean at Charleston, OR

We stayed last night on the very edge of a sand dune with the raging seas within earshot. The roar of the ocean was a constant throughout the night. There was a full moon, when we could see it but, lots of wind and clouds passing over. We awoke to hail and heavy rain but bundled up and walked along the beach anyway. We have the furnace or the Braun heater on all the time. The Braun is 47 years old and still going strong! Charleston is an original fishing village west of Coos Bay/North Bend....good clamming and whale watching. The Oceanview RV park has everything(very impressive) @ $20.00/night. Life is good!
