On Vancouver Island

Friday, we went to Ladner and then south to Point Roberts, WA. There were long waits both ways at the border. It was a nostalgia trip for us. We lived in this area for several years in the sixties and we wanted to check it out. Lots and lots of changes. We spotted another GMC in Ladner and met the owner, Ken Fraser.

Saturday, we drove Kingsley in to Oakridge Shopping Centre in Vancouver, met up with our youngest daughter, Michelle and saw her new place in the west-end. She had her greyhound (and our grand-dog), Zephyr with her. What a great dog! We went to Granville Island Market to shop and sightsee. Michelle drove us back and we left for the ferry to Nanaimo. We arrived on the Island @ 10:15pm and proceeded to find the campground in the dark. Dicey trip but, we made it and were real happy to wake up here Sunday morning. The weather continues to be consistent.....RAIN!!!! Staying here tonight, too.

Hi Mom and Dad,
Fraser has been home with a bad cold for 2 whole days :( We're wishin and hopin that he'll be back on track by tomorrow morning. Russ and the boys set up the new trampoline on the weekend and it is loads of fun! Donny and Jack wrote their music theory test on the weekend and they both think they did okay with it. Nice to have that behind them. Looking forward to seeing you this weekend. Let me know if you would like me to bring anything along that you might need.

See you in a few days...how 'bout a few more photos of you two!! Thanks for the mother's day email.
