Well, this is day 8 in this place! It has been fun settling in and not travelling too far. Everyday we have ridden the bikes to the beach or to the town centre so we are getting lots of exercise and fresh air. We met up with Dwayne & Sharon Jacobson and David Carter, GMC Cascaders club members. Dwayne has been incredibly generous with his time and resources. They have a restaurant, The Roadhouse, where we have had a couple of breakfasts and a dinner, so far. I heartily recommend the place for great food and service!
We met an interesting fellow, George Marriot, at the Parklander. He is interested in the GMCs so we introduced him to Dwayne & David. We hope he will be one of us one day (a GMC owner)!
Yesterday George, Alan & I went to Carterville, David's acreage, to meet him. He gave us a grand tour of his spread, his GMC 23', and his wonderful collection of vehicles, original & restored. He also has an amazing miniature railway that meanders all around the house and garden as the pictures will testify.
Well Sam, in answer to your earlier comment....... yes, we are still having fun!

Spring 2011 - We were snowbirds from mid-January until mid-April. Our travels with Kingsley included CA, AZ, OR, WA, BC & AB & then to Quartzsite, Arizona. We are not sure where Kingsley will take us next. Stay tuned!
