Quinceanera Party in Santa Rosa

Well, we have just returned from the first of several ice cream socials being held at the rally. Decadent!! We made a stop at the party in progress. My new best friend is the security guard, one of two hired for the party. It's unbelievable and so colourful!
Definition from google search: "The quinceanera party, with its throng of family and friends, shines a happy light on the 15-year-old Latina as she moves from childhood to womanhood".
The security guard is latino and a single Mum of several daughters who spent $15,000. on a quinceanero party for two of her daughters, 15 & 18, a couple of years ago. She said this family spent over $20,000. on this party! It's bigger than a wedding and very common in the latino community. It is almost 10:30pm here and the party started at 4:00pm. The music and dancing are still going on. I took a couple of pictures but they don't really do it justice.
Love to all, Janet

I'd love to see a few more photos of the landscape surrounding you. We woke up to more snow today - there was enough accumulation to warrant the boys taking the sled out to the hill.
